WAITROSE – FRESH HERBS
The brief is for a simple illustration of all of our fresh herbs to bring our packaging up to date with our newer lines. References to old packaging and newer lines are provided.
I created a suite of illustrations for physical use for herb packets. I proposed to illustrate several concepts from a simple to a more painterly feel to give a modern fresh feel to the design. I began by sketching ideas for each concept and presented my favourites as roughs alongside mood images.
REFINED PAINTINGS (below)
Refined illustrations were created based on feedback from the client. I began tightening the concepts into refined sketches and fleshing out the illustrations with more colour. These illustrations were selected to go on the final designed packaging.
CONCEPT DECK
My goal for this project was to create a suite of playful and vibrant imagery that could work together as a set, but interesting and unique enough to work on their own.
Taking my client through this journey with me was important, walking through the concept deck to clearly layout proposed ideas.
